Hip hop, yes a half of album reminds me Modeselektor or something similar. But I found Fire Ant arrangement familiar to the Avalanches style. I like Dwrcan tune more for its deep sound that takes you to the sky (the feeling that you have when admiring clouds through an airplane window).

Yeah, I was tossing up whether to post this one or Paint Yourself because they’re both examples of White Denim sounding more chilled – I’ve had this on repeat more though.

Ha! My friend said exactly the same thing last night. I like Head Dress better now but The Narwhal was the first song that made my ears prick up when I listened on MySpace, so that was the rationale…

I sometimes struggle to decide whether to include the song I liked first (because theoretically that has the highest chance of enticing people to listen to the other stuff), or the song I liked best after listening a few times.

Past example that comes to mind: deciding whether to include Dodos ‘Red and Purple’ (liked first) or ‘Jodi’ (liked best in the end) on Muxtape in its old format (RIP). I picked Jodi in the end.
