Why not head dress? It is by far the better song IMO.

Ha! My friend said exactly the same thing last night. I like Head Dress better now but The Narwhal was the first song that made my ears prick up when I listened on MySpace, so that was the rationale…
I sometimes struggle to decide whether to include the song I liked first (because theoretically that has the highest chance of enticing people to listen to the other stuff), or the song I liked best after listening a few times.
Past example that comes to mind: deciding whether to include Dodos ‘Red and Purple’ (liked first) or ‘Jodi’ (liked best in the end) on Muxtape in its old format (RIP). I picked Jodi in the end.
